Please join me in welcoming Lorraine to the Family Councils Program staff team.
Lorraine Purdon is the new network coordinator for the Family Councils’ Program. Lorraine has worked in community Development, planning and capacity building for most of her career. Most recently Lorraine was the Director of The South-east Toronto Planning Project-a coalition of health and social services in the Downtown core of Toronto. Through her work as Director of the coalition she was instrumental in launching the Toronto Oral Health Coalition, was involved in the community consultations during the planning of the Local Health Integration networks by promoting a community voice during the deliberations and worked closely with St. Michael’s Hospital and the Sherbourne Health center in making services more accessible to people who were homeless and marginally housed. Over the past several years Lorraine was part of a Family council in her home region of LHIN 9.
